At least 19 people are dead and 36 injured after a gas tanker exploded on a highway outside Mexico City and set fire to several cars and homes in the area. “It was a ball of fire which exploded as though they’d put a spotlight in the whole window,” said one resident of the Mexico City suburb Ecatepec. “We opened the door, and it was like fire had blown the whole of the garden.” Twenty homes and 16 vehicles were reportedly damaged.
