George Zimmerman has been charged with “misdemeanor stalking” and has been summoned to appear in Florida court, according to the Florida State Attorney’s Office. The summons states that Zimmerman “willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follow[ed], harass[ed], and cyberstalk[ed]” private investigator Dennis Warren between December 16 and December 25, 2017. Zimmerman was served on May 3rd, and is expected to appear in court at the end of the month. In 2013, he was found not guilty for “second-degree murder and manslaughter” in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman claimed that he acted in self-defense.
