East Ellijay Police Department Officer Tommy Long was put on paid administrative leave Thursday after an antifascist group revealed that he’d repeatedly liked racist content related to the Ku Klux Klan on Facebook, the HuffPost reports. On Wednesday, the antifascist website Atlanta Antifascists published an article with screenshots showing Long had liked multiple Facebook posts promoting the KKK. Chief of Police Larry Callahan told HuffPost that while Long admitted it was his Facebook page, he did not confess to liking some of the KKK-related posts uncovered by the website. Long was friends on Facebook with six accounts that two KKK members appear to be behind, according to HuffPost.
