Wayne Anthony Hawes, a 50-year-old man in Appling, Georgia, shot himself in the head after allegedly killing five others on Friday. His daughter, Lauren and her 1-year-old daughter said they escaped her father's rampage by hiding in a neighbor's house. “He made threats before, but we never thought it would be at this capacity,” Hawes told the AP. “He’s been kind of a ticking time bomb if you want to put in a few words.” Angela Dent, Hawes' mother had allegedly walked out on Wayne a week earlier. The shootings seem to stem from a domestic dispute, with victims likely related to Dent.
