A former Dresden police officer was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison Wednesday for killing a Polish-born man he met on a cannibalism fetish site. The man wanted to die, and there is no evidence that the cop, Detlev Guenzel, actually ate his victim, but Guenzel was still sentenced for “murder and disturbing the peace of the dead.”
