Newt Gingrich wasn’t mincing words Wednesday when he claimed that “fraud” was the reason he didn't make it on the Virginia ballot. The once-frontrunner who lately has been slipping in the polls claimed that his campaign submitted 11,100 signatures—10,000 are required—but a “mistake” occurred and 1,500 of those signatures were false. Gingrich had earlier blasted a “failed system” after learning that only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul were on the Virginia ballot.
