A former Guantanamo Bay prisoner has been arrested in Uganda for involvement in the assassination of a government prosecutor. Joan Kagezi, who was known for pursuing terrorism cases, was killed last week, and Ugandan news site NTV reports that ex-Gitmo detainee Jamal Kiyemba is one of the people detained in her murder. NTV cites U.S. embassy spokesman Daniel Travis as saying that the U.S. provided aid in capturing Kiyemba, who was classified as having “low” intelligence value on his Guantanamo forms.
