Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and longtime ally to President-elect Donald Trump, has taken himself out of contention for the position of Secretary of State according to a statement released from Trump's transition team. "This is not about me; it is about what is best for the country and the new administration," Giuliani said in the statement. "Before I joined the campaign I was very involved and fulfilled by my work with my law firm and consulting firm, and I will continue that work with even more enthusiasm." Trump is reportedly looking closely at ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson for the position and Mitt Romney is also in consideration.
