Who knew Nick D’Aloisio was such a softie? When Yahoo recently bought his news app Summly for a reported $30 million, the 17-year-old Brit probably wasn’t thinking about all the sweat, blood, and tears it took to launch the damn thing two years ago. But a quick Google search of D’Aloisio reveals he was so desperate to get publicity for another startup that he had a full-blown tantrum in a slew of emails to Gizmodo, which then featured his app as the worst app of the week. The writer didn't know he was a mere child. “I feel like crying I'm that disappointed.” D’Aloisio wrote. And in his umpteenth message: “Please…don’t destroy my livelihood.” Good thing that’s all ancient history.
