After article suggesting gay actors can’t play straight.
This is just what Newsweek needs right now: Glee creator Ryan Murphy has called for a boycott against Newsweek after the magazine published an article arguing that gay actors can’t play straight. In an open letter, Murphy called the article, which targeted one of Glee’s actors, “blatantly homophobic” and wrote, “I have asked GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios to stand with me and others and ask for an immediate boycott of Newsweek magazine until an apology is issued to Sean Hayes and other brave out actors who were cruelly singled out in this damaging, needlessly cruel, and mind-blowingly bigoted piece.”
