Tipsters tell TVNewser that Beck’s vacation from his show this week was “not planned” and that his bosses told him to take time off in order to let the controversy around him die down. Beck has been the target of a campaign to get advertisers to pull their spots from his show ever since he said on July 28 that President Obama has “a deep-seated hatred for white people.” More than 20 advertisers have since pulled their spots from Beck’s program.
