Hit the brakes: General Motors is recalling 1.4 million vehicles after it discovered a fire risk from its heated windshield-washer fluid system. GM recalled 944,000 vehicles in 2008 for the same problem, but its fix didn’t work; now the company is telling dealers to just disable the system altogether. All recalled vehicles are models from 2006 to 2009.
