Dan Fredinburg, a Google executive, was among those killed in the Everest avalanche triggerd by a massive 7.8 earthquake that shook Nepal early Saturday. More than 1,300 people were killed, with many of the dead at the base camp, where hikers and trekkers had gathered to prepare for their ascents of the world's tallest peak.
