Google Glass Resale Forbidden

Don’t even think about loaning out your techno-specs.

If you don’t like your $1,500 Google Glass specs, tough luck—you’re stuck with them. Google is barring anyone who purchases the limited-edition computer eyewear from hawking it on eBay, as one sorry fellow did today, or even so much as loaning it to a friend unless you want it to self-destruct. The company’s draconian terms of service state that “Google reserves the right to deactivate the device” if users resell or loan it to anyone else, and that “neither you nor the unauthorized person using the device will be entitled to refund, product support, or product warranty.” That’s right, Google has control over every bit of software you purchase from the company. Get used to it.
