Internet behemoth Google is adding to its empire. The company is purchasing Frommer’s in an effort to expand its travel-related services. Google is already in the restaurant-review business thanks to its acquisition of Zagat Survey in September 2011. Adding Frommer’s will give Google a stake in the hotel- and destination-review business as well. The terms of the deal, which haven’t yet been finalized, have not been disclosed. It’s unclear whether Google will continue printing Frommer’s guidebooks.
