Google unveiled its new smart phone, the Nexus One, at a press conference on Tuesday The phone is designed by HTC, and comes with a touch screen, a five-megapixel camera, a compass, light and proximity sensors, a trackball, and an accelerometer. It's also designed so that the user can speak any text into the phone, whether it be an email, text message, or internet search. (Though Wall Street Journal writer Walter S. Mossberg says the feature "worked only adequately at best, and very poorly at worst.") The phone will sell for $180 with a two-year contract on T-Mobile, and $530 unlocked.
