John Boehner is all but assured to be speaker of the House, as is Eric Cantor House majority leader. But what of the other House leadership posts? Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California is expected to run for the third-ranking position, House whip. Meanwhile, Rep. Mike Pence stepped down from the conference chairmanship, the fourth-highest position, and Michele Bachmann is said to be interested in replacing him. Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling has already thrown his hat in the ring to replace Pence. Should Bachmann join, it will be one of the Tea Party's first challenges to the GOP establishment.
