Politicians, back away from your computers: Republican party chairman Jeff Frederick is probably regretting his use of Twitter, the social networking device used to micro-blog about a user's life. Yesterday the Virginia GOP almost lured a senator to switch parties and create a 20-20 tie in the Virginia State Senate until his online over-exuberance foiled the plan. The Democratic senator in question was all but convinced to switch parties, until Frederick shared this with his followers: "Big news coming out of Senate: Apparently one dem is either switching or leaving the dem caucus. Negotiations for power sharing underway." Quick-thinking Democrats swooped in and stopped the defection. Good move, sir.
