Bobby Jindal’s speech was almost universally panned last night, but Republican politicians are apparently drinking the Kool-Aid he was selling: According to The Washington Independent, House Republicans are readying a proposal to freeze federal spending. Indiana Congressman Mike Pence announced “we’re advocating that Congress freeze all federal spending immediately” at a lunch on Tuesday, and House Minority Leader and South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford have hinted they would support such a measure.
