A woman who was violently abducted off the streets of Philadelphia was found alive in Maryland on Wednesday. The Sunday kidnapping of Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, 22, was caught on a surveillance video that shocked the nation. Freeland-Gaither was rescued from her alleged abductor, 37-year-old Delven Barnes, on the side of the road in Jessup, Maryland. She was hospitalized for injuries sustained during the abduction. “I’m taking my baby home. Thank you,” said her mother, Keisha Gaither. Police believe she is not his first victim, and that the fact she fought so hard for so long kept her alive. Apparently the police were able to find Barnes when they found out his car was equipped with a GPS device that had been attached by a car dealer who worried it might need to be repossessed because of the owner's bad credit.
