The late, great Roger Ebert once said that "video games can never be art." Sadly, the legendary critic did not live long enough to see the Director Mode in the PC edition of Grand Theft Auto V, in which users have control over everything in the game's universe, from characters to cameras.
YouTuber Boris the Blade created a video called Super Clown in which a killer clown slashes and shoots everyone in his way. It's brutally violent and definitely not for children, but strangely compelling and very cinematic.
There's no way to know for sure if Ebert would have been forced to reconsider his stance on video games after seeing Super Clown, but it would have been a good reason for him to defend his four-star review of Tron.
