Clashes at the Ukrainian parliament injured as many as 100 people Monday, and one national guardsman was killed by shrapnel from an exploded grenade. The violent protests followed an initial vote by the parliament in favor of initial de-centralization reforms that will give more autonomy to rebel-held regions in the east. The country's internal affairs minister tweeted that the killed soldier was a 24-year-old from southern Ukraine, and that the detained suspect is a member of the far-right Svoboda party.
