Grimes has once again shamed Elon Musk for publicly parading their son at political events—this time during a bizarre exchange about a “scandal” involving billionaire CEOs and their racy sexual kinks.
The 36-year-old Canadian musician, who previously slammed Musk for allowing their son, X Æ A-Xii, to appear alongside him at the Oval Office with President Donald Trump last month, took to her ex’s social media platform to talk about the subject Thursday evening.
Grimes re-shared a fake X-rated post, purportedly from her, that started circulating in 2022 before it was quickly debunked. After a follower dubbed it “lame,” Grimes went on to dive into the subject of her struggles with Musk.

“I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet,” she said on X. “I have tried begging the public and my kids dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse.”
She added that her children being in the public eye is of “grave concern” to her. Young X most recently appeared publicly on Tuesday when his dad delivered Trump a Tesla at the White House.
“The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day. It’s insane to me that theres no way to deal with this,” wrote Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher.
“I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives but I don’t even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it tbh,” she added. “We are in the Wild West of information content and the dismantling of privacy and it’s very concerning.”
The fake post from Grimes that prompted her remarks concerned “sexuality and kinks” among Fortune 500 CEOs, many of whom allegedly “enjoy being pegged.” It referenced an unnamed “successful auto-maker” and alluded to sexual videos that exist between him and Grimes.
“I was going to clarify that yet again this scandal is untrue but I just remembered I decentralized grimes and relinquished control over my image so I guess if I can’t stop it - grimes is successfully self replicating and I cannot control the other ones. Exciting,” she wrote.
“You have children. This is lame,” an X user replied, starting the public dialogue with the pop star. Grimes agreed that the fake post is “cringe a f-” but said that if she didn’t address it, then it would become “mainstream narrative.”
“I spent the last 6 years quiet, not clarifying as the s--t got more and more extreme, and that was a mistake. There’s no way out of this situation at this point besides performance art,” she reasoned.
Asked whether she could get the content “wiped from the internet,” Grimes then launched into her latest slapdown of Musk.
It comes after Grimes said, “I think fame is something you should consent to,” after her son appeared with Must in the Oval Office in February.
She has been in a legal battle with Musk since September 2023 for custody of X and their other two children, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2.
