A 38-year-old mountain biker was killed by a grizzly bear just outside Glacier National Park on Wednesday afternoon. Brad Treat, of West Glacier, Montana, was biking with another man when they surprised the bear. Treat was ripped off his bike by the bear, but the second rider was able to escape and get help. Treat, a law-enforcement officer with the U.S. Forest Service, was pronounced dead at the scene. The bear still hadn’t been located as of Wednesday night.
