A new lawsuit was filed in federal court in New York on Monday demanding public access to White House visitor logs. The lawsuit, brought forth by the National Security Archive among other groups, accuses the Secret Service of failing to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests regarding President Donald Trump’s whereabouts and the individuals with whom he has met since taking office in January. The Obama administration maintained the practice of publicly releasing lists of the individuals with whom former President Barack Obama met. If the Trump administration decides to maintain the Obama administration’s policy of releasing the logs on a monthly basis three months after the meetings occurred, as Politico notes, the first log would be released later in April.
