The Mexican border town of Reynosa, across the Rio Grande from Texas, erupted into gunfire on Friday after a drag gang leader was arrested by security forces. Cars were set on fire and bullets rang out in the town of 600,000 after Jose Hugo Rodriguez Sanchez, known as “El Gafe” a Gulf Cartel leader, was taken into custody. Three assailants have been killed and two state police officers injured. A Reynosa police spokesman also said two bystanders were killed.
