A gunman opened fire Tuesday morning at the Apple Valley Farms chicken processing plant near Fresno, Calif., killing one and wounding three others. The alleged shooter, 42-year-old Lawrence Jones, then shot himself in the head. He was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. Jones clocked in a little before 5 a.m. and reportedly waited about three and a half hours before opening fire. He worked at the plant for 14 months and had an extensive criminal record that dates back to the 1990s, according to investigators. It's not clear what motivated the shootings.
