At least 53 people have died since a northern Mexico casino was attacked on Thursday afternoon. The attackers fired guns, threw grenades, and set drapes, rugs, and furniture on fire at the Casino Royale in Monterrey, according to witnesses. The mayor of Monterrey said that 20 were dead and the rescue efforts continue. The Associated Press reported that a rescue worker said 28 bodies were found so far, and more were expected. The affront is the most recent in a string of targeted attacks: the Caliente Casino was attacked on Wednesday, and on August 15 the Sun City casino was as well.
