Cory Smoot, the lead guitarist for the heavy metal band GWAR, was found dead Thursday. His body was found in the band’s tour bus after a concert in Minneapolis. The cause of death is unknown. Smoot went by the name “Flattus Maximus” in the band, which is popular for wearing costumes and doing obscene things at concerts. Recently, the band disemboweled a Sarah Palin effigy on stage.
