Rockets rained down on major Israeli cities and the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night. Since midnight on Tuesday, Israel has targeted 160 sites in Gaza. Meanwhile, Hamas fired more than 225 rockets at Haifa, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv, among other areas, forcing residents to take refuge in bomb shelters and minorly injuring at least one person. Most of the rockets were intercepted but some exploded. Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Forces bombarded Gaza, attacking 50 sites in two hours. The Arab League called for an urgent United Nations Security Council meeting to halt the strikes on Gaza, which have killed at least 25 people.
