In 1972, at the height of the glitter-rock era, a 29-year-old Mick Jagger took the stage in a silver-loop-studded, lace-up two-piece at the Boston Garden, with Keith Richards on guitar in the foreground.

A year later, at Wembley Empire Pool in London, a bare-chested Jagger bounded across the stage in a white jumper and glittering arm jewelry, microphone in mouth.

Mick wasn’t much for shirts in the ’70s, but he had no problem with the magnificently ruffled sleeves of this outfit and cowboy-style, leather-fringed pants.

Not buying into the Partridge Family look that Keith was sporting at the time, Mick donned a lime-green-pants-and-jacket combo with (behold!) a tight-fitting, yellow shirt underneath.

In Philadelphia in 1981, a now 38-year-old Jagger took the stage in three varying shades of orange and a yellow puffer jacket. Bonus: Keith’s goggles-leather-bandana combo in the background!

Later that year, Jagger sported a blue nylon jacket, a red patterned shirt, and the vaguest hints of eyeliner onstage.
