Kate Middleton was reportedly spotted out in public Sunday at a farm shop near her and Prince William’s Adelaide Cottage home, according to The Sun—which says it spoke to “onlookers” who saw the princess, but did not publish any photos of the outing. One witness told the tabloid that they were shocked to see Middleton and her husband out in public given the recent furor surrounding her recent absence from public life. “She looked happy and she looked well,” they said. “The kids weren’t with them but it’s such a good sign she was healthy enough to pop down to the shops.” It is unclear if The Sun contacted Buckingham Palace for comment. Middleton’s health has been the subject of intense speculation over the past few months, beginning in January when she reportedly underwent an “abdominal surgery.” She has not been seen in public since. Conjecture over the princess’ status went into overdrive last week when she and William released a photo of her and their children—which several news agencies analyzed and later pulled from circulation after determining that it had been “manipulated.” A royal source told The Sunday Times that Middleton was left “devastated” by the brouhaha.
