Actor Al Molinaro, best remembered as Murray the cop on The Odd Couple or malt shop owner Al Delvecchio on Happy Days, died Friday at a hospital in Glendale, Calif. He was 96. Molinaro, a character actor, retired in the 1990s and suffered complications from gallstone problems, according to his son Michael Molinaro. After his stint on Happy Days, Molinaro founded Midwestern diner chain Big Al’s, with his former co-star Anson Williams, who played Potsie.
