Some of my beloved readers, I may remind them, mocked the Royalist when he wrote in June of this year that Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas were secretly dating again.
But my sources – who also told me at the time that Harry had still not given up on the idea of marrying Cressie – will surely be feeling vindicated this morning after Cressida was the guest of honor at Prince Harry’s 31st birthday party Tuesday, held in public in a London pub.
The unfortunately paywalled Sun has pictures of her arriving at the pub – wearing a dark grey coat over jeans and a frilled white shirt - and also claims that Cressida then went back to Kensington Palace for an ‘after-party’, although a source tells the Sun they didn't spend the night together.
Attentive readers will recall that Cressida was the guest of honor at Harry’s 30th birthday party at Clarence House a year ago, which featured a risque burlesque performance.
Even back then they were supposed to be broken up.
Even back then the Royalist had his doubts.
It's little secret among Harry's pals that he and Cressida have spent the odd soiree in each other's company since the big fallout, triggered by the arrangements over the wedding of Harry's friend Guy Pelly to an American heiress.
Making the plot significantly thicker this morning is the news that Cressida has just SPLIT UP with her latest boyfriend Edward Holcroft.
Harry and Cressida dated for two years before breaking up last March - just days after the relationship had gone officially public - after an alleged row over attending the wedding of Harry's good friend, Guy Pelly.
Harry was introduced to Cressida by his cousin Princess Eugenie in May 2012 and started dating a month later, however their romance was troubled when the Prince was pictured naked with a woman at a strip-billiards party in Las Vegas.
Where this leaves Harry's other ex, Chelsy Davy, with whom he met up in Africa, we can't be sure.
