Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 cast such a spell that it grossed the biggest worldwide opening weekend of all time by far, taking in a staggering $475.6 million. It broke the previous record of $394 million, which was held by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The final Harry Potter movie also broke the domestic debut record by raking in $168.6 million. The record was held by The Dark Knight, which grossed $158.4 million in 2008.
