Harry Potter Still No.1 at Box Office

Tangled, Disney’s refurbished take on the Rapunzel story pulled in $11.8 million on Wednesday, putting it on track to outdo weekend earning estimates by $10 million. But the better-than-expected opening was not enough to topple Harry Potter, whose $14.5 million haul kept it in the No. 1 spot through the Thanksgiving holiday. The wizard flick has earned $159 million in the last six days. Cher’s Burlesque came in at No. 3, followed by animated Megamind at No. 4, and Anne Hathaway’s Love and Other Drugs in fifth place.
