Harry Reid Apologizes for Asian Jokes

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has made yet another cringe-inducing racial remark, this time to the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce. “The Asian population is so productive. I don’t think you’re smarter than anybody else, but you’ve convinced a lot of us you are,” Reid said, to a laughing crowd. As he walked off stage, Reid continued, “One problem that I’ve had today is keeping my Wongs straight.” The video was recorded by the GOP opposition research group American Rising. Friday, Reid apologized. "My comments were in extremely poor taste and I apologize. Sometimes I say the wrong thing."
