Prince Harry, 30, has made no secret of his desire to get married, telling interviewers twice in the past year that he is looking for that special someone to settle down with.
Now, it seems, he has settled on his new girlfriend Cressida Bonas as the girl to 'take on' the role of being his wife as he described it in one interview.
Trouble is, Miss Bonas, 24, isn't quite so sure she has found her Prince Charming yet.
According to a report in the Daily Telegraph by the usually immaculately sourced Richard Eden, Cressida feels Harry is pushing her too far too soon.
“Cressida has been in floods of tears,” claims one of her friends. “Harry is coming on very strong, but she is all over the place. She thinks she is far too young to get married and is scared by all his talk of marriage and settling down.”
The Telegraph says that the pair were a couple while students at Leeds University, but he went travelling after graduation and their romance cooled.
In an interview filmed while he was serving in Afghanistan, Harry said: “You ain’t ever going to find someone who’s going to jump into the position that it would hold,” he said. “Simple as that. If you find the right person, and everything feels right, then it takes time … especially for myself and my brother.”
The report meshes with recent claims made in other UK papers recently, with the Mirror being among those to report that Prince Harry’s new girl has told pals she’s not convinced their relationship will go the distance.
A source close to the pair told the Mirror: “Harry is quite open about his strong feelings. Cressida, I think, still needs to be convinced.”Harry, 28, who split from Chelsy Davy in 2010, was introduced to Cressida by her friend Princess Eugenie at a music festival last May.
