Dennis Hastert will be arraigned in a Chicago court on Thursday on charges that he covered up bank withdrawals to pay a former student for prior wrongdoing and that he later lied to the FBI about it. The misdeed in question has not been revealed, but law enforcement reportedly said it was of a sexual nature while Hastert was a wrestling coach more than 30 years ago. Each charge carries five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
