Stephen Hawking said he has cracked the "Information Paradox" about black holes on Tuesday. The paradox has stumped physicists because quantum physics it says that information entering black holes should stay intact, but Einstein's general relativity says that the information should be destroyed by their extraordinary gravity. Hawking explained during a lecture in Stockholm that neither proposition is true; rather, information never actually enters into black holes, instead staying on their inner-most boundary called the "event horizon." Hawking plans to publish a paper on the findings next month.
