A badly decomposed and headless body was found on a Long Island beach Sunday, about 100 miles to the west of the site where 10 bodies thought to be the work of a serial killer were found. The East Hampton police chief said the body appeared to have been in the water “for quite some time.” Police say there haven’t been any reports of people missing in the area, and that there have been strong easterly winds and unusually high tides lately. One point against this body being the work of whoever killed and buried 10 people on Long Island is that all those bodies were buried in wooded areas near the beach, not dumped in the water.
