A lemonade stand run by kids was briefly shut down in McHenry County, Illinois, last weekend by a health inspector from the county. The “Lemonade Brigade” stand, run by girls ages 8 to 12, has raised more than $30,000 for charity. It was shut down for about 20 minutes by the inspector before she checked with a supervisor and found that no permit was needed since the stand was run by children.
