Hedi Slimane Takes Over Céline

Renowned designer Hedi Slimane is taking over Céline, and will serve as its artistic, creative and image director. Slimane, 49, will be tasked with introducing a new men’s collection in addition to new fragrances. “He is one of the most talented designers of our time. His arrival at Céline reinforces the great ambitions that LVMH has for this maison,” said Bernard Arnault, the chief of LVMH. “He will leverage his global vision and unique aesthetic virtuosity in further building an iconic French maison.” Slimane previously served as creative director of Dior Homme and Yves Saint Laurent.
