The Supreme Court is dealing with some not-so-supreme numbers when it comes to its approval rating. A new poll conducted by The New York Times and CBS News released Thursday shows that the majority of Americans don’t approve of the job the court is doing. Just 44 percent say the Supreme Court is on the right track. Seventy-five percent say the justices are sometimes motivated by their personal or political beliefs. The court’s standing among Americans has been declining in recent years. In the late 1980s, about 66 percent of people approved of the way the court was handling itself.
