Hillary Accepts Award at Yale

New Haven in the fall can make anyone nostalgic. Hillary Clinton on Sunday accepted the Award for Merit from her alma mater, Yale Law School—and spoke fondly of her days there but gave no indication of her future plans. “It’s really hard to believe it’s been 40 years,” Clinton said. “I was driving a beat-up old car. I had a mattress tied to the roof. I was wearing my bell bottoms.” Although she talked about the past, nearly everyone else there seemed focused on her future: students wore Ready for Hillary stickers and Yale Law School dean Robert Post asked her if she would want to “add one more elusive line to her resume?” There was also a surprise guest: Bill Clinton, who sat in the front row.
