The Clintons are often thought of as American royalty, and Hillary Clinton apparently demands to travel like she really is one. According to an investigation by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Clinton insists on staying in presidential suites at all hotels that she visits and also demands that she is ferried to speaking events via a private jet that is at least as large as a 16-passenger Gulfstream G450. Not only does Clinton pull six-figures for her speaking engagements, she also controls a number of event details. Her standard speaking contract has several requirements, including that she will spend no more than 90 minutes at an event, take no more than 50 photos with no more than 100 people, and permit no press nor video- or audio-taping. Clinton has claimed she and bill were “dead broke” when they left the White House in 2001. They appear to have more than made up for the alleged financial loss.
