Hillary Clinton: Donald Trump ‘Not Qualified’ to Be President
Previously refused to say the same of Bernie Sanders.

Asked directly on Thursday afternoon if Donald Trump is “qualified” to be president of the United States, Hillary Clinton said, “No, I do not.” In an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Clinton laid out various factors such as temperament and general knowledge of the issues to make the case that her likely general election opponent does not pass a baseline of qualifications for the highest office in the country.
“I know how hard this job is. And I know that we need steadiness as well as strength and smarts in it,” Clinton added. “And I have concluded he's not qualified to be president of the United States.”
Last month, Clinton repeatedly declined to say whether or not Bernie Sanders is “qualified” to be president and subsequently Sanders declared her “unqualified” based on her decision to vote for the war in Iraq, among other policy positions.
Later in the same CNN interview, Clinton said of the still disputed Democratic primary race, “I will be the nominee for my party, Chris. That is already done in effect. There's no way that I won't be.”
