Hillary Clinton had a private meeting with Sen. Elizabeth Warren in December, a sign that Clinton may be trying to build a more populist agenda and reputation among Democrats ahead of a White House bid. While Clinton did not explicitly ask Warren to endorse her for president at the meeting, she did seek her advice, according to a Democrat with knowledge of the meeting. Warren has reiterated that she has no intention of running for president, but her populist views could pose a threat to Clinton from the left should she jump in.
