Adolf Hitler’s personal telephone used in his Berlin air-raid bunker will be sold at auction in the United States later this month, CNN reported on Wednesday. The red telephone, with Hitler’s name engraved, was reportedly given to the dictator by the Wehrmacht—Nazi Germany’s military forces—and, according to the Maryland-based auction house, it was used to for signaling his commands during the final two years of World War II. Additionally, acording to Alexander Historical Auctions, the phone was recovered from the bunker and kept in England since 1945. It was “arguably the most destructive 'weapon' of all time, which sent millions to their deaths around the world,” the auction house added.
