Looks like everyone was willing to spend Christmas with The Hobbit. The second part of the Hobbit trilogy won the weekend box office, bringing in $29.9 million over three days. Newcomer The Wolf of Wall Street started out strong in its Christmas Day opening, but faltered through the weekend, eventually earning just $18.5 million. Frozen continued to dominate, coming in second with $28.8 million and adding to its overall $248 million haul. Anchorman 2 rallied from a disappointing opening last weekend, bringing in $20.2 million. In fourth place was American Hustle with $19.6 million in its second week of release.
